What We're Loving!

Happy Monday! We are starting a new little Monday tradition called "What We're Loving". It will basically focus on trends both floral and wedding that we are seeing and loving lately!

This week we are loving sweet and simple spring weddings like this one we styled last winter with 1313 ! An open park, a few friends, a few bottles of wine and some bright pink spring flowers like tulips and stock are all you need for this adorable and budget friendly wedding. And make sure the friends will help haul the table ;)

The NEW Thistle and Tulle!

We have been busy the past year (or so) and because of that, Thistle and Tulle has undergone a few changes! Sarah is now a full time boutique wedding photographer with 1313 and we could not be more  proud of her and excited for her amazing and blossoming career!
What does this mean for Thistle and Tulle? It means that it is now a mother daughter run show!
I (Kathleen) am sticking around and my mother, Jamie is the other half! We had collaborated on a few weddings before T&T existed and love working together so we thought, why not? And we have been busy since!
Over the next few weeks, we will be posting some of our past weddings and projects as well as trends and things we are loving! And if you like what you see (and we hope you do) email us! before ashley was in the wedding business she did fashion photography. when she came to me and asked if i wanted to be a part of a photo shoot, i told her i'd love to!

as we were beginning to put everything together, phillip (ashley's husband and business partner) thought of the perfect model.. a bride from one of their upcoming weddings!

we had a great time styling this shoot together. i had fun making the flower brooch and long dress! yessy was a wonderful model and i can't wait to see pictures from their november wedding!

when ashley from 13:13 asked if i (sarah) would be interested in doing the decor for this wedding i was so excited!

stacey was a really fun bride and was looking for a non-traditional style wedding.

so i created these fabric flowers that i ended up using to create an arch, line the aisle, and for table decor. i also did the grooms cake which stacey asked to represent dustin's favorite team, manchester united. this was my first stab at a soccer shaped cake and i think it turned out pretty well! i also did a simple fauxto-booth backdrop that was colorful and fun just like the wedding day!
